With 25+ years working with youth and young adults in different settings, I guide youth to confidently choose the next steps in their career. There is no “right” career, job, education or training for everyone. People have the ability to competently perform a number of different roles. When good decisions are made the factors taken into consideration will lead someone to be successful. Poor decisions will lead to anxiety, frustration, and even depression at times. Good decision making is the key to moving forward successfully – but that is not an easy thing to do. With so many people willing to help, youth become overwhelmed. With the lack of control on social media, youth are often fed poor information. Not surprisingly, youth find themselves in decision paralysis and will grasp the first thing that comes their way without appropriately assessing it’s fit for them.
Good decisions = a good fit for education, training, jobs, and career.
Career ≠ Job!!
I have my pulse on what employers are looking for, how to choose an education/training program, and methods to explore options and opportunities yet to be discovered. We are preparing youth for an unknown future as new roles are being developed every year. Innovation is providing opportunity yet those opportunities are not fully definable at this time. We want to create an adaptable and innovative workforce who will adjust and implement new ideas and technologies in the future.
Help me help the future workforce. Collaborate with me to create successful, dynamic and adaptable youth.
